Who We Are
Angels for Animals Rescue League is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization started in Elida, Ohio. We have a shelter for the incoming animals to get shots, spayed or neutered and any other testing that needs done. We try to get them housebroken and adoptable so they will be loving lifelong companions. Some of our animals are sent to Allen Correctional Institution for obedience training by the inmates for 8 weeks. These dogs come out of prison housebroken, obedience trained, well socialized and crate trained. Most receive their AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate.
The shelter is open 1:00 - 4:00 PM Tuesday through Saturday and is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Our goal is to eliminate animal cruelty and suffering in our area. We hope to find good, loving homes for homeless animals, educate the public on animal welfare issues, and start a spay/neuter campaign in our community to stop the pet overpopulation in our area.
Through your membership and support, you can help us meet these goals. Please join us in our crusade to help the homeless and neglected animals in our community. By working together we can end the needless suffering of these helpless animals.
Donations Needed
Are you having a garage sale this year or just cleaning out the attic and garage? We have a flea market in one of our rental buildings. We take anything but clothing. The proceeds go to help the animals.

Cat Spay or Neuter: $50
If you schedule 5 or more cats at one time: $30 each
Dog Neuter: $50
Dog Spay: $80
**As of March 1, 2010, all female dogs that are over 50 pounds,
their spay will be $100.**
Vaccines: $15 each
Heartworm testing: $20
Leukemia testing: $20
Microchip: $20 no annual fee

If you are interested in an animal, please e-mail angelsforanimals_gmail.com for an application. Prior to adoption, all of our animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heart worm or feline leukemia tested (if old enough) and come with 45 days of free health insurance.
Most of our dogs are owner surrenders or rescued from local dog wardens. Sometimes we rescue from puppy mills as well. We rescue the unwanted dogs that are not selling to pet stores or are not breeding anymore.
